The short version

Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and Adsterra load by default on the first visit, before you touch the banner. This automatic default is not an affirmative consent action by you. The banner tells you what is on and gives you a Reject button. Reject stores a denied choice for 180 days and reloads the page to unload running advertising and recording code. Later visits do not request Clarity or Adsterra while that choice is valid. Google's advertising and analytics consent signals become denied; its tag can still send cookieless pings. There is no accept gate in front of these scripts.

Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics 4 property website_265_gameinfo_criminalsimulator.com, measurement ID G-DD1L54E969, to count page views and see which guides are read. It loads by default. GA4 can set first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_<container-id>, and sends events to www.google-analytics.com or regional Google Analytics endpoints. Cookie lifetimes and event retention depend on Google's settings; this review has not independently verified this property's retention configuration, so we do not promise a specific retention period. If you press Reject, analytics_storage becomes denied, GA4 stops writing analytics cookies, and only cookieless pings may remain. The default-on record is an implementation preference, not proof that you clicked OK. Google's privacy and opt-out controls are at https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Microsoft Clarity

We use Microsoft Clarity project z5mq5hm5xq for heatmaps and session recordings. It loads by default from www.clarity.ms, downloads its recorder from scripts.clarity.ms, and sends data to regional collectors such as e.clarity.ms or f.clarity.ms. Clarity may use _clck, _clsk and Microsoft service cookies, and stores session state in the browser. Exact retention and cookie lifetimes follow Microsoft's published policy and project settings, rather than a fixed period promised here. Reject calls Clarity's consent API with false, then reloads the document to unload the recorder. The loader does not request Clarity on later visits while the denied choice remains valid. Microsoft's privacy statement is at https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.

Adsterra

We use Adsterra (publisher ID 3403020, website ID 6161525) for one Native Banner, unit 31996058, and one Social Bar, unit 31996059. The Native Banner sits in the page flow above the footer; the Social Bar is the fixed card in the bottom corner and has a local Close ad button. Adsterra and its demand partners set cookies and localStorage under their own domains, including adsterra.com and the creative host bicea.org; those names are chosen per campaign by the network, not by this site, so they are not first-party keys here. Retention follows Adsterra's own schedule. These scripts load by default. Reject reloads the page to unload the advertising code, stops the loader on later visits, and sets ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization to denied. Adsterra's policy is at https://adsterra.com/privacy-policy/.

Personalized advertising and opt-outs

Where Adsterra or its partners personalize ads, you can opt out through Google Ads Settings at https://adssettings.google.com/, the Network Advertising Initiative at https://optout.networkadvertising.org/, the Digital Advertising Alliance at https://optout.aboutads.info/, or your device's ad settings. These links are provided by the advertising industry, not by this site. Reject on this site is the local switch and applies to every page until the 180-day record expires.

YouTube, when you press play

The trailer button shows a poster we host. Pressing it inserts a www.youtube-nocookie.com frame. That is when YouTube can set cookies, receive your IP and record the view. We do not request that frame on first paint. The video is Crime Simulator - Official Trailer, uploaded by Ultimate Games SA on 17 June 2025. Google's privacy policy covers that frame: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Cookies and localStorage this site controls

cs_consent in localStorage: a record with the current preference (granted or denied), a timestamp and an expiry 180 days out. The first visit writes the default granted preference before you make a choice; OK or Reject replaces it. cs_socialbar_closed in localStorage: a record with closed: true, a timestamp and a 180-day expiry, set when you press Close ad. It keeps the floating bar hidden across reloads. These are our own preference keys; analytics and advertising services can separately create their disclosed storage. Cookie settings in the footer reopens the fixed bottom banner.

Legal basis and your rights

The site uses the default-on preference described above; the automatically stored granted value does not demonstrate affirmative consent. You can change that preference through Cookie settings at any time. Contact [email protected] about privacy, access or deletion requests. Messages are received through Cloudflare Email Routing and the mail-hub Worker, stored in the site's mailbox, and may be mirrored to the operator's Gmail mailbox for handling and replies. Cloudflare and Google therefore also process correspondence, but opening a page does not contact Gmail. We do not hold a player account. This page describes the implementation, not a guarantee of compliance in every jurisdiction. Changes show a new checked date on the page.

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

When navigator.globalPrivacyControl is true, the page stores a denied choice, does not treat you as accepted, and does not show the banner as a fresh opt-in. Do Not Track is not a reliable signal across browsers, so this site does not map it to a stored choice.

Questions

Do you run ads?

Yes. Adsterra supplies one Native Banner and one Social Bar. Their scripts are requested by default with the rest of the page. Reject saves the choice for 180 days and reloads the page to unload running ads and recordings. Ad delivery can vary by region and network availability.

How do I change my mind?

Use Cookie settings in the footer. Reject stores cs_consent with a denied choice and turns off Clarity and the Adsterra units. OK stores a granted choice. The record expires after 180 days, then the default-on choice applies again.

Does YouTube load on first paint?

No. The trailer is a poster we host; the www.youtube-nocookie.com frame is inserted only when you press play. That click is the point where YouTube can receive your IP and set its cookies.
